From The East
As the year draws to a close and new changes are in sight for the new year I would like to thank all who helped to make the old year go so easy.
We had the election of the officers who will lead us in the following year and I hope that you will all come out and support them as they lead the lodge to greater and better levels. This is your lodge and without your participation it will die
Those few brothers who have worked so hard need your help. Next month will be my last stated meeting and I hope to see you all there in support
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving as you sat at your table and contemplated the preceding years and gave thanks for all that is good and wonderful and looked forward to further years of joy and contentment.
I was told that next month is not Christmas season anymore but Holiday season, It seems like they are trying to take Christ out of everything. To me it will always be Christmas so enjoy and I will.

I am happy to report that last month’s Dinner and A Movie was a very enjoyable event. Those who attended were quite impressed with the dinner and movie selection and hope we can do it again. Was this a successful fundraising event? Not so much. Unfortunately, too few made reservations. It was something new to try!
Thanks to Phillip Ross, James Hatch and Gary Kiddle for their hard work, loaned equipment, excellent promotion and great food preparation. They proved that the concept should be tried again at least once in 2016.
We plan to continue our Stated Meeting Potluck Luncheons next year. We hope to increase our ladies and members participation each month. Lately we have missed some familiar faces and their wonderful potluck contributions. Will we see YOU again soon? I sure hope so!
I wish to thank the Lodge for electing me to serve as Master for 2016. I am excited to serve Bicentennial Daylight Lodge and looking forward to the personal growth which I expect to experience from this pleasant task. I am still looking for and hoping to appoint a Brother to serve as Junior Steward for 2016. Could this be YOU? Call me!
Watch this Trestleboard for news about you and your Lodge!

As we enter the Holiday season, it is a time for giving thanks and reflection. We all have so much to be grateful for. Personally, I thank God for good health for myself and family. Every now and then my wife will freak out about something outside of our control that adversely effects our life in some way. I'll give her time to vent and express her displeasure then remind her that the bills are paid and we're healthy. As much as she'd like to continue to press the issue to make me further understand how unjust things are; she'll pause, sigh and agree.
My thoughts and prayers are with our brothers that are suffering from a malady that renders their lives' uncomfortable. I have made calls to several of our brethren that have been unable to attend lodge due to health reasons. I extend my assistance in whatever way I can. Sometimes it's accepted but usually not. I wish I could do more.
My thoughts and prayers are with our service men and women who are away from their families for the holidays. As we enjoy that second plate of our holiday meal, please give
thanks that we are able to do so while worshiping in our own way, speaking English, and able to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness because of their efforts.
